Client Portal.

Client Portal | Showcase Area

Every project in Dorah includes a mirrored Client Portal — a view-only space designed to keep clients informed without exposing internal details.
It’s a clean, organised environment where presentation, progress, and trust come together.

What Is the Client Portal | Showcase Area?

The Client Portal is a curated reflection of your active project.
It displays mirrored Category Boards and Moodboards — always in read-only mode. Item lists, Project Files and messaging remain private in the workspace part of the portal

This allows you to share progress and concepts confidently while keeping procurement data, discussions, and pricing private. To share curated pricing and procurement lists, you can share in 4 ways via the item list.

Access & Permissions

Only the Account Holder or Admins can enable or manage Client Portals.

When inviting a client:

  1. On project line, use the envelope icon to send the client a link to their portal area.

  2. Click Invite Client and enter their email. Please note this can not be edited once sent.

  3. Dorah sends a secure invitation with access credentials.

  4. The client sees a refined, locked version of the project — calm, visual, and free from clutter.

Clients can:

  • View approved boards and moodboards

  • Click supplier links added to images

  • Read notes that you choose to share

  • See overall project status

  • Message directly within the portal (notifications stay in-app)

Clients cannot:

  • Edit content or upload files

  • View internal discussions, procurement data, or pricing

  • Add or remove items

Client Notifications

Clients receive gentle, in-app notifications when updates are made or new boards become visible.
They don’t receive automated emails — Dorah avoids noisy alerts to maintain a calm, considered experience.

If you’d like to draw attention to an update, send a short personal email inviting them to log in.

Live Links vs Client Portal

Purpose

Share a single moodboard or list

or

Share the full curated project via the showcase portal.

Best Practice

  • Enable the showcase portal only when boards are presentation-ready.

  • Use clear, minimal naming for client-facing boards.

  • Add concise notes or supplier links for context, not clutter.

  • Share Live Links only for temporary or external presentations.

In Practice

The Client Portal gives clients transparency without complexity.
It turns presentations into calm, interactive experiences where they can follow progress and appreciate the design story — while you retain full control behind the scenes.
